Abstract

Hans Peter Weber's compendium of the basso continuo is a script for the basics of basso continuo practice first presented in 1997. It has been intensively used by generations of students at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis for aural training. The script is now available in a digital synoptic version in German/English. Access is free of charge and barrier-free. You can use the book yourself and share it with others, only changes are not allowed.

The Compendium of the Basso Continuo is a script for the basics of basso continuo practice first presented in 1997. Since then, It has been intensively used by generations of students at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis for aural training.

Its compact didactic structure has also made it well known and sought after outside Basel. Since October 2018, the original handwritten script has been available for the first time in a digital synoptic version in German/English. Access to Open Access is free of charge and barrier-free. You can use the book yourself and share it with others, only changes are not allowed.
