A native of Rome, Marco Scorsolini graduated with the highest grade in Communication Sciences from LUMSA University, focusing on music, cinema, theatre and television. His graduation thesis was "A chronology of Opera Buffa performances in Rome between 1730 and 1760”, supervised by Dr. Maria Luisi, with whom he studied poesia per musica and XVIII century opera. He then moved to Boston and graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music, earning a BM both in Composition and Film Scoring, with a minor in conducting. He got his MMus in Composition from the Royal College of Music in London, graduating with the paper “Approaches to orchestration, tradition and exoticism in two orchestrations of Balakirev’s Islamey“.

Besides writing concert music, performed internationally by the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin in Russia and the USA, and Iwona Glinka in Greece, he also writes for media, notably for the Italian national television RAI and cinema as composer, arranger and orchestrator. He worked for the USA, France, Japan, Italy, Taiwan, and his projects have won international prizes in Monte Carlo, Berlin and Los Angeles.
